Functional Medicine, Upgraded With Data
Functional medicine asks why symptoms exist — tracing them to root causes across interconnected body systems rather than treating each complaint in isolation. Integrated Wellness practices functional medicine upgraded with quantitative tools: multi-omic testing, the Integrated Matrix Engine reading every system together, and licensed physicians turning root-cause hypotheses into measured, retested protocols.

What is functional medicine?
A systems-based clinical approach that treats the body as one interconnected network — gut, hormones, immune function, metabolism, nervous system — and searches upstream for the drivers of dysfunction: nutrition, sleep, stress, toxins, infections and genetics.
How does it differ from conventional care?
Conventional care excels at acute disease and asks “what is it, and which drug treats it?” Functional medicine asks “why is this happening, and what restores function?” The approaches are complementary — we practice the second while coordinating with the first.
What's the common critique — and our answer?
Fair critique: some functional-medicine practice runs ahead of evidence and over-tests. Our answer is structural — an Evidence Library grading every concept (A/B/C/Emerging), testing selected to change decisions rather than pad panels, and physician review on every protocol.
How does the Matrix Engine upgrade the model?
Root-cause thinking has always been limited by how much data one clinician can hold in mind. The engine reads labs, DNA, microbiome, wearables and history simultaneously — surfacing cross-system patterns for the physician to interpret. Systems thinking, at machine scale, with human judgment on top.
Who benefits most?
People with persistent, multi-system complaints despite normal workups; those managing early metabolic or hormonal drift; and anyone who wants prevention built on their own data. Start with the free assessment and our team routes you appropriately.

Is functional medicine evidence-based?
Its core levers — nutrition, sleep, exercise, stress physiology — carry strong evidence. Where practice extends beyond, we grade and disclose the evidence level rather than blur the line.
Will you work with my existing doctors?
Yes — reports are structured for any physician to review. Our principle: we don't replace doctors, we empower them.
How long is a typical engagement?
Meaningful root-cause work runs in quarters: baseline, protocol, retest. Most members see objective marker movement within the first retest cycle.
Is this covered by insurance?
Programs are typically direct-pay; certain labs may be billable to insurance depending on your plan.
